Infirm Glory by Damon Hubbs

Infirm Glory

Too many things are happening.
Plots are resolved in 45 seconds
which is how long
it took me to come
this morning
when I jerked off
to the Blade Angels.
My feed is filled with footage
of Adolph Hitler
at the 1936 Olympics.
I have no solution to the troubles.
Besides,
it’s Ash Wednesday
and I’m not worthy of a cry
of abandonment;
all the bones
stairs
and white light
is too much.
And when you
told me
unicorns
aren’t real animals
     hell,
the whole day
was lost.
