day to day
tightropes
and loose ends
claw-marked walls
no big wins
in this life-sized hole
just an intermittent series
of small victories
and a million ways
to continue holding on
until it’s over.
Edward L. Canavan is a Los Angeles based poet whose work has most recently appeared in Paper and Ink, AEOS Magazine, as well as Literary Underground (9/28/25) and “Silence Is Consent” – An Anthology of American Poets to Speak to the American Conscience. His third poetry collection titled “Skeleton Flowers” is out now on Cyberwit Press. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Edward currently resides in North Hollywood, California, where he practices Buddhism and is currently listening to Hawkwind.
