J. A. Tyler (b. ) is an American author, editor and publisher. Tyler's short stories, flash fiction and reviews have been published widely in the small press. He is the founding editor and publisher of Mud Luscious Press.

Tyler earned a B.A. in English and History from the University of Northern Colorado in 2001. In 2003 he received his M.A. from the University of Northern Colorada in Literature & Composition.

Tyler is the author of two books, Inconceivable Wilson (Scrambler Books, 2009) and A Man of Glass & All the Ways We Have Failed (Fugue State Press, 2011). He has several other books slated for release in 2011-2012, including the single paragraph prose / poem In Love With a Ghost from Cow Heavy Books and with John Dermot Woods, the text / image novel No One Told Me I Would Disappear from Jaded Ibis Press.
