Franklin Street between 8th and 4th streets will be blocked off to traffic for the street festival -- Taste of Michigan City.
Street Parking is available on nearby streets. The parking lots on the corner of 8th & Washington are also free and open to the public on a first come, first serve basis. Parking is also available in the Lighthouse Premium Outlets lot located on Wabash Street.

The First Friday Art Walk is a multi-venue event promoted by the Michigan City Mainstreet Association which focuses on fostering the arts and the artist who create it. On the first Friday of every month from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., local, uptown businesses and galleries open their doors to the public and host artists and their work, showcasing everything from paintings, to sculptures, to live performances.
